Frederick Nathaniel “Toots” Hibbert, est mort le 11 septembre à Kingston, en Jamaïque. Il avait 77 ans.
Il était considéré comme le plus grand chanteur de reggae vivant.
Avec son groupe Toots & the Maytals, il était l’un des premiers à avoir utilisé le mot « reggae », qui donna son nom au célèbre style musical.
